There should be a specific area to let the producers and management know how viewers feel about ending the Mike and MIke show, and serious feedback regarding the Golic and Wingo Show and Get Up!
First, I have always wanted to like Trey Wingo—even when Mike and Mike was still on the air. (I’m Baylor Alum and I always try to support other alum). Trey Wingo is a TERRIBLE host. He is insecure, lacks insight, and is unable to say anything original. His insecurity is blatantly transparent as exemplified by his constantly making topics about himself, trying to make himself appear important (particularly by name-dropping), and inability to accept criticism or be the focus of jest without getting flustered. Although he sometimes tries to sound self-deprecating, it comes across as a humble-brag. He uses a few phrases repetitively (again, because he lacks originality), such as “let’s be honest”. Mike Golic and Jr are great, but Trey Wingo is not in the same league despite his years of experience. Get Up! is not that great, either. By the second hour, I feel like I’m re-watching the first hour. The chemistry that used to be evident between Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg is missing in these new shows. Fitz, who substituted for Trey when he was in Hawaii was EXCELLENT! He was funny, had original thoughts and ideas, was interesting, and knowledgeable. He is a much better fit with Mike Golic than Trey. Again, I really don’t like criticizing Trey Wingo, but having watched Mike and MIke for more than 10 years, it’s painful to wake up with Trey in the mornings. Something or someone needs to change. thank you for your time.
