Please review you policy on charging for diagnosis. I understand charing the $100 if I don’t use you for the repair. But I end up using your service, then the $100 should be taken off the bill because you would’ve needed to know what the problem was anyway, in order to fix it. The charge should only be for wasting a techs time by having him/her come out and then not actually having the repair done. That’s the way my mechanic does it and it makes perfect since. If I have him tell me what’s wrong but he doesn’t fix it, then there’s a charge. If I let him fix it, then there’s no charge for the diagnosis.
I too have been screwed over by Best Buy / Geek Squad and do not know what to do about it. i am also a senior and find this treatment horrible. I was told I would have my lap top back in 24 hours. I have tried to follow up with calls upon calls on a daily basis and gone all the way over there three times, with no answers. It has been two weeks and two days now. I have never received even one courtesy call. My lap top has been sent out, and I was to be told prior to that happening, I wasn’t. But who cares, theyre big enough that customer service is a non issue and so is charitable donations for that matter.
I am going to make sure that this and more gets posted in as many places as possible.
