    I am chronically underwhelmed by the experience that I have had with Gateway Kia Wollongong following the 30k device on my Kia Cerato DJH76D on 22/06/17
    Quite apart from being overcharged on my ‘capped service’ to the tune of $200,
    on returning home from the service I noticed that my Driver’s side rear roof rack had its endcap missing (as I had taken my surfboard off the rack prior to the service I had observed said part being in place. I use the racks on a daily basis for carrying a surfboard and am therefore very aware of their appearance)
    I called the service department and explained the situation and was told that CCTV footage would be reviewed and they would be in touch. This process took an incredibly rediculous time frame of 3 weeks during which time I emailed at least twice!
    Finally on 12/07/17 I received an email claiming that time stamped CCTV file showed that the endcap was in place when I picked up the vehicle! On request I was sent an image purporting to be of my vehicle with the front!! rack circled proving that the part was in place!! They had been looking at the wrong rack!! The image is not particularly clear but clear enough to show that the front ant back rack ends do not appear to be the same!!!
    NOT ONLY HAD THEY BEEN EXAMINING THE WRONG PART BUT ALSO THEY HAD TAKEN 3 WEEKS TO TRY AND PROVE A CUSTOMER WRONG. Is the service culture at KIA prove the customer wrong. I thought the opposite?
    This experience has impacted on me in such a way that I am not confident in using Gateway Kia for service ever again. My experience (according to customer comments on their fb page) is not an isolated one. Although I quite like my KIA I don’t think I will buy another.
